It's never fun when we have to do these, but some serious allegations have been brought forward and as always, we must address them.
Revealing ANY personal information (ie: real life identity, screen names, forum nicknames, AIM names, or any other contact information or identity information) is STRICTLY prohibited and will result in an IMMEDIATE ban, NO QUESTIONS ASKED.

Contacting a member of the game outside of the tribal forums and asking: A. if they are in the game, B. anything about the game, and/or C. who they are playing as, will result in the banning of both people involved.
The rules clearly state that it is prohibited to reveal real life contact information. We take the rules and fairness of Stranded VERY seriously.

Julie, you have sent a member of the tribe your Etsy page.

Because your identity was revealed at the start of the game, the revealing of your personal information was allowed. However, contact information is still prohibited, as well as contacting people outside of the game.

In these situations we look at three things. A. Intent. B. Severity. C. Impact.

A. Intent - It is clear that you were not intending to contact someone outside of the game, and I do not believe the intent was to game the system.

B. Severity - This is the most severe rule of Stranded. However, because your identity was revealed by the hosts at the start of the game, you were allowed to reveal personal information. The grey area is when you attempt to contact someone outside of the game. There is a chat feature built into Etsy that could be used to communicate. However, you did not use this to cheat specifiically.

C. Impact - I do not believe that the Etsy link had any impact on the fairness of the season.

Taking all three into account, the main issue is the severity of the rules as it is clear the intent and impact are not there. While we do not think the identity rule was broken, the attempt to contact. intentional or not, is borderline.

As such, we have no option other than to issue you with the following penalties:

1. A formal & final warning - This is the most severe of all warnings. It is the last chance for a contestant to shape up before being removed. If there is another issue, we will have no choice but to take permanent action.

2. A penalty vote - At the next Tribal Council, you will receive a vote against you.

3. Vulnerability - You are not allowed to participate in the next Immunity Challenge.

Julie, please confirm that you understand what you did wrong and have read the rules thoroughly.

Everyone else, this is a general warning, please follow the rules. We are always watching and take the integrity of the game very seriously. If you have an issue with how the rule break was handled, please message the hosts and speak now.

Thanks you and have a great season of Stranded,
-Poody.

wait what happened with Julie i wasnt here at the beginning of the game
We had it revealed before the game started that Julie is Jeff's IRL wife, so as far as personal info goes, that was already known and gave a slight ignoring of some of those rules.
